Notification Description: This is an informational alert. Technical Support Tiers will be updating VA Video Connect (VVC) to enable live captions on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 9:00 PM ET. Due to the nature of the update and timeframe of implementation, Veteran care should not be impacted.

Updates:
Live captioning can be enabled/disabled by selecting the CC button that will display on the VVC toolbar. An audible alert will be heard if any participant enables captioning stating “Live captions are enabled. Your continued participation in this call will be considered as consent.” A CC icon will display during the visit if any participant enables captioning.
